Space-time

I'm going to write a song in space-time
a four dimensional paradigm
I'm going to send it into deep space
And celebrate the human race
Space-time.. Space-time..
I'm going to write a song in space-time &send the royalties to Einstein
And the only thing I want to say, is come join us in the Milky Way
Space-time... Space-time..
Got to find someone in reality - intelligent life reasoning logically
Absolute truth is true absolutely - like space-time is in our galaxy
Space-time... Space-time.
I'm going to write a song in space-time
A Stephen Hawking nursery rhyme,
And the only ones who'll understand, is the intergalactic house band.
Space-time... Space-time..
I'm going to write a song in space-time existing in a fine line,
Like science and good Sci-Fi...an unassuming ally
Space-time... Space-time..
Got to find someone in reality - intelligent life reasoning logically
Absolute truth is true absolutely - like space-time is in our galaxy
Space-time... Space-time.

Band comments:

I came up with this idea, melody and lyrics while walking the beautiful beach in St. Augustine Florida on Christmas Day a few years ago! But every time I left the beach, it left me. It always returned whenever I went back to the beach! So I got wise and while walking the beach, I called my voice mail and sang it into my cell phone! Upon arrival back home it was all there waiting!

The song reflects my deep love and interest in science, mostly astronomy and physics. I am not a scientist (I just play one on T.V.) but have read many books on the subjects and could easily keep a physicist busy and entertained for hours!

The basic message of the song is this; Absolute truth is absolutely true! I know that this is not a popular idea in our relativistic world, but the absolute truths I speak of are the sacred words of the Bible. It cannot be added to, taken from, or modified in any way, although many people try. The Bible even makes the claim of being absolute, as well as Jesus himself, "I am the way the Truth and the life" (John 14:6)

I make mention of Einstein in the song also; It is not a well known fact that Einstein actually hated the coined name for his incredible theories - Relativity. He stated that he would rather call them "Theories of Invariance" because he was focusing on that which emerged which was absolute and unchanging! But the name forever stuck.

What emerged from his theories (now law) which were absolute were;

1. The speed of light 2. The laws of physics 3. Space-time

He proved that while space and time as separate entities were relative, flexible and changing, a new entity emerged called "Space-time" which was absolute! And absolute not just on earth, but all over our galaxy, in between, and in every galaxy all over the universe!

The point is that if God created these laws and concepts (He did) then it must also be a reflection of his very character, his absolute unchanging sovereign nature!

And to think, I came up with this while strolling along the beach!

Finally, I must give credit to a huge influence musically concerning this song also; The song is "Resistance" from "Waiting for the Rain" by James Vincent 1978

James Vincent was one of the early pioneers of jazz-rock fusion and one incredible singer/writer guitarist! The album I speak of was his first one reflecting his new found faith in God. I later became friends with him and shared hours of great conversation via late night phone calls.

My guitar solo on Space-time also is my tribute to James and this song, as my attempt at copying his guitar solo in Resistance, although his remains the model of perfection always!

I know that this was much more information than you wanted for this song, but if you're still reading this far.......I got ya! John Boda
